MLB…Some of the Latest Signings.
Okay, I don’t know if I am going to capture ALL the moves that have been made since Friday, January 16th, 2015, but I will do my best to sum them up in a simple, reasonably painless format…
At the very tip-top of this list is this item…The Washington Nationals and RHP Max Scherzer have agreed to a 7-year deal which is expected to be in the $200M stratosphere. Scherzer was the biggest pitching prize of the off-season in a class that included Jon Lester and the still-available James Shields. This move gives the Nationals a lethal rotation, which now boasts Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, Jordan Zimmerman, Doug Fister, and Gio Gonzalez.
